Fall Travel Program

The Sartell Soccer Association offers a fall travel program for our U9-U12 players. This program is designed to provide young athletes with the opportunity to participate in competitive soccer leagues and tournaments, fostering skill development, teamwork, and a love for the game.  

Fall travel will begin mid-August and wrap up  mid-October.  Teams will play an average of 6 games for the season.  Half of those will be at home (Pinecone Central Park) and half will be traveling to other cities.  Travel can sometimes range anywhere from 30 mins to more than an hour away. Typically, as the players get older, the farther they will have to travel.  Games will be played on either Saturday or Sunday.  Practices will be determined by the coaches.  Depending on age level, teams will practice 1-2 nights a week.  

Team coaches and managers will coordinate schedules based on both the coach and player availability. Additional details regarding the practice and game schedule will be communicated once teams are formed.

We'll also typically offer tournament only U14 teams for interested players in this age group. Teams will participate in two Fall tournaments. 

As a reminder, players will move up to the next age group starting in the Fall season. For example, U11 players move to U12 and so on. 

Fall 2025 Program Details

In previous years, we did not offer a separate tryout for the Fall season. Starting this year, we’re introducing a dedicated tryout specifically for U9-U12 players interested in joining the Fall 2025 travel program. Spring/Summer tryouts for the 2026 season will occur on October 26th. More information will come for those tryouts.

This Fall, we’re also offering a tournament only-U14 team for boys and girls born in 2012 or 2013. These teams will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and no tryout is required.

Eligible Ages: Boy and Girl players born between 2017 and 2014 are eligible for league play teams (U9-U12).

2017 - U9
2016 - U10
2015 - U11
2014 - U12

Tournament-Only Teams:

• Boys and girls born in 2012 or 2013 have the option to join tournament-only U14 teams. These teams will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and no tryout is required.

• This allows for participation in two exciting tournaments this fall:

  • NSC Fall Cup (Girls) on September 26th-28th, 2025

  • NSC Fall Cup (Boys) on October 3rd - 5th, 2025

  • North United Fall Cup on Dates TBD

• 2017/2016 (U9/U10 Boys):

  • Arrive at 5:00pm, tryouts from 5:15pm-7:15pm

• 2017/2016 (U9/U10 Girls): 

  • Arrive at 5:15pm, tryouts from 5:30pm-7:30pm

• 2015/2014 (U11/U12 Boys & Girls): 

  • Arrive at 6:15pm, tryouts from 6:30-8:45pm

• U13+ players boys and girls who would like to do the Skillmasters evaluations. No tryout needed for tournament-only team:

  • Arrive at 6:15pm, evaluations from 6:30pm-7:30pm

Tryout and Skillmasters Registration Fees:

• For ages U9-U12 there is a non-refundable $20 fee that covers both the Skillmasters evaluation and the tryout.

• For ages U13 and older, there is a non-refundable $15 fee for the Skillmasters evaluation only if families choose to participate in testing, there is no tryout fee. If families choose to not participate in the Skillmasters evaluation, they will just pay the registration fee for the Tournament only team.
